Granby Ranch Ski Area
Granby Ranch is a smaller ski and snowboard mountain located approximately 30 minutes from Grand Lake via Highway 40. The resort has a family-oriented character with less extreme terrain than larger Colorado ski areas, making it a good option for beginner and intermediate skiers in a Grand Lake group.
The mountain has a vertical drop of approximately 1,000 feet and a mix of groomed runs and beginner terrain. Lift tickets, rentals, and ski school are available on site. Check granbyranch.com for current lift ticket pricing and seasonal hours.
Combining with Grand Lake
A ski day at Granby Ranch combined with evening snowmobiling from Grand Lake provides a full winter day of activity without redundancy. Groups with mixed skiing ability can split — skiers go to Granby while snowmobilers ride the Grand County trail system — and meet back at the cabin for dinner.
Granby Ranch also offers summer mountain activities including mountain biking on converted ski trails and hiking on the resort property.
