Work and Play in the Mountains

A corporate retreat at Grand Lake Cabins gives your team a complete change of environment — out of the office, out of the city, into the mountains. The combination of genuine natural beauty and premium cabin amenities creates conditions for both productive work sessions and genuine team bonding that conference rooms in a downtown hotel simply cannot replicate.

Every Grand Lake Cabins property includes 1200 Mbps high-speed internet — fast enough for video conferencing, shared document work, and multiple simultaneous users. Large dining tables in the cabin seat the whole team together for working meals. The transition from work to recreation is a 5-minute drive to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Team Building Activities

Pickleball Lodge brings the only private cabin pickleball court in Grand Lake — a natural team activity requiring no experience and generating genuine competitive energy across skill levels. The game rooms at every property (pool table, ping pong, arcade games, foosball) provide easy evening entertainment after the day's sessions.

Group hikes inside Rocky Mountain National Park, guided snowmobile tours, or a morning kayak session on Grand Lake offer structured team experiences in an exceptional setting. Most outdoor activities in Grand Lake can be arranged for groups of 12 to 16 with advance planning.

Logistics and Planning

All four Grand Lake Cabins properties are available for exclusive whole-property rentals. For teams larger than 16, two properties can be booked simultaneously — Lakeview Lodge and Pickleball Lodge together sleep 32. Contact Cam and Emily at 303-588-4472 to discuss multi-property availability.

Grand Lake is less than 2 hours from Denver International Airport — an easy drive for a team arriving from out of state. The full kitchen at each property supports catered meals or group cooking. Grocery stores in Grand Lake and Granby (15 minutes) cover any additional needs.

The Connectivity Question First

A retreat that cannot get online is a liability rather than an escape. All four properties run high-speed internet, and the Lakeview Lodge runs 1200 Mbps — enough for a full group on video calls simultaneously rather than one person at a time.

That also makes the extended stay workable: teams frequently book Thursday to Sunday and work the Thursday and Friday morning from the property before the retreat proper starts.

Space to Work and Space to Stop

The Lakeview Lodge sleeps 16 across six bedrooms and five bathrooms, with eight-foot windows over Grand Lake, Shadow Mountain Lake and Mt. Baldy, and covered outdoor dining that seats the full group — which doubles as the place a session runs over lunch.

The Pickleball Lodge sleeps 16 with a ranch-plan layout that keeps everyone on one level, a 900-square-foot game room, and the only private cabin pickleball court attached to a rental in Grand Lake. For a team activity that does not require organising an outing, that is unusually convenient.

Feeding a Team

Every property has a full kitchen sized for group cooking, and the Pickleball Lodge kitchen runs Viking appliances. The Lakeview Lodge and Lakeside Cabin both have a natural gas grill and a smoker outside.

For a retreat where nobody should be cooking, a private chef can be arranged to prepare meals at the property. This is worth raising at booking rather than close to the date.

Logistics and Booking

Grand Lake is roughly two hours from Denver International, and the western entrance to Rocky Mountain National Park is five minutes from every cabin — close enough that an afternoon in the park does not consume the day.

Teams larger than sixteen book two properties for the same dates, reaching 32 guests, arranged through one owner rather than several listings. Booking direct removes the 10 to 14 percent platform fee. Call or text 303-588-4472.
