Choosing the Right Grand Lake Cabin
Grand Lake Cabins offers four distinct properties for different group sizes and preferences. Lakeview Lodge and Pickleball Lodge each sleep 16 and are suited for large groups, family reunions, and corporate retreats. Lakeside Cabin sleeps 12 and Mid-Century Modern sleeps 11 — both work well for smaller groups or multiple-family stays.
Consider what amenities matter most to your group. Pickleball Lodge is the only private cabin in Grand Lake with a full outdoor pickleball court — ideal for sporty groups. Lakeview Lodge has floor-to-ceiling lake views and 60+ arcade games. Lakeside Cabin is perched above Shadow Mountain Lake with a porch swing and fire pit. Mid-Century Modern has a distinctive 1972 design with full remodel and hot tub lake views.
When to Book a Grand Lake Cabin
Peak summer weekends (July 4th week, late July, August) and peak winter weekends (Christmas, New Year's, MLK weekend, Presidents Day weekend) book out months in advance. If you have specific dates, booking 3 to 6 months ahead is recommended for summer and holiday periods.
Shoulder seasons — May, June, September, and October — offer better availability and pleasant weather. Fall is particularly underrated: aspen color, elk rut, and lower crowd levels make September and October some of the best Grand Lake travel months of the year.
What's Included at Grand Lake Cabins
Every Grand Lake Cabins property includes a private hot tub, high-speed internet (1200 Mbps), full kitchen with premium appliances, washer and dryer, outdoor grill, and a game room of some kind — pool table, ping pong, arcade games, or pickleball court depending on the property.
All four properties are dog friendly with advance notice. Up to two dogs are welcome per stay; for larger groups of dogs, contact the hosts at 303-588-4472 before booking. A dog fee applies per stay.
